Mural in the Chapel of Guadalupe.

Tribute to Identity Traits.
Soul, heart and inheritance.
The Chapel of Guadalupe has been characterized by its Christian, Marian, and priestly aspects; these are values that have given identity to this community and have been a tangible part of its chronology.
From the point of view of a painter artist, the mural must start from a solid base, the vanishing point is a foundation that has accompanied the journey of 200 years of history, I am referring to the cross, which is represented in the cube that when unfolded forms the first value with which we Capillans identify ourselves, it is the cross, it is Christ who is not only the center of the mural, but the center of a community that rests on faith.
Above it, our future, looking straight at us with the face of a little girl whose hands are capable of drawing and writing between the lines everything that precedes her and everything that identifies her with the present. Beside the future (the little girl), an old man guides his grandson, revealing that the values we have received from the past are those that have accompanied us and given us our identity to this day. A past that leads the future by the hand toward the hard work in the fields, so that, protected by divine providence and the protection of Guadalupe, they have been fertile and fruitful for the new generations.
Colors give light and life. They make it clear what animates our community with their shades of agave blue, green like the trees on our Cerro Gordo; white, pink, brown, and yellow that stand out from the fields of livestock farming, which has also given us an economic boom; colors that, when mixed with music, brighten and adorn the folkloric culture that makes us proud of our Mexican roots; black and white that give life to musical notes that not only delight the ear and the heart, but also unify, for music is the universal language.
We can't ignore the sport that has given us so much satisfaction. Without a doubt, commitment, reliability, consistency, and perseverance are values that demonstrate that victories and achievements are the product of small, daily efforts.
Everything we are, everything we remember, and everything we are told we are, would not be true if there were no reliable sources, true chronicles written by some beloved Capilla residents, lovers of the chapel, historians who reveal between letters what gives us origin and, above all, what allows us to know more of some truth.
It is a prosperous land that the founder Don Antonio de Aceves looks upon with gratitude, a land full of color due to the diversity of economic activity that has even been home to our immigrant brothers from other states, a land that has known how to prosper in the face of adversity, ensuring a prosperous future for our youngest inhabitants, the children, giving us the certainty that here: Capilla de Guadalupe is a place where we can live in peace and enjoy the joys that each day gives us.
